Installation Instructions
Preparation: Before installing your newly purchased product, please read and understand these instructions thoroughly and ensure you have the following items on hand, including a suitable collection container and some approved clutch fluid used according to the manufacturer's instructions. Some models use mineral oil, while others use DOT 4. Although the NICECNC slave cylinder is compatible with either type of fluid, the master cylinder must use the fluid recommended by Brembo or Magura (depending on the type of fluid your model is equipped with).
Installing the slave cylinder: Remove any necessary fairings or covers to ensure the entire area is easily accessible. The motorcycle should be kept upright or slightly tilted to help air bubbles escape. When loosening (but not removing) the hydraulic hose, wrap the existing clutch body with a cloth to minimize potential fluid leakage. Ensure the collection container is in place to catch any fluid that may leak out when loosening the hose. Remove the existing cylinder from the engine, preferably by wrapping the clutch lines and original cylinder together with a cloth. The NICECNC clutch slave cylinder is pre-assembled; ensure that new gaskets are installed before securing the unit to the engine. You will need to retain and use the original bolts, as housing and attachment conditions vary.
Warning: Before inserting the slave cylinder into the motorcycle, lightly lubricate the O-ring (1) with engine/transmission oil. It is very important not to force this seal, as any tears or damage may cause the device to malfunction. You can now remove the pipes and exhaust screws from the original cylinder and connect them to the new cylinder. Perform this operation safely and promptly to minimize subsequent exhaust time. When reinstalling the hydraulic hose to the new slave cylinder, ensure that all components are exceptionally clean. Use the provided seal ring only if the original fluid line used a seal ring.
Install the NICECNC slave cylinder, ensuring all original components are reinstalled. Note that the master cylinder capacity for Husaberg/Husqvarna/KTM/GasGas models is very small, so oil levels must be carefully monitored. Some models require a small chain guard to be installed before the hydraulic hose for proper assembly. Bleed the system through the original bleed valve at the top of the slave cylinder, ensuring a pipe is connected to a collection container. Pull the clutch lever approximately six times (holding the lever during the final stroke). Release the valve to relieve fluid pressure, then re-tighten and release the lever. Repeat this step until the clutch no longer feels “spongy.” Ensure the clutch master reservoir fluid level does not drop too low to prevent air ingestion.
